CCE of Broome County and the Farmers Market Federation of NY are preparing a proposal to create a web-based decision tree to help farmers choose farmers markets that will help them to achieve their farm goals and meet their personal needs. This tool will create a database of market criteria that can be sorted, using the criteria selected by the farmer, based on what each of you feel is most important for your business.

To help us prepare the proposal, we are asking a few questions that will help us to determine how best to design this tool; what kind of information you might expect and how best to organize it.

A common concern among many of the state's farmers market managers is that of finding farmers and vendors to populate their markets.  CCE of Broome County and the Farmers Market Federation of NY are preparing a proposal to create a web-based decision tree that will help farmers to find you.

The tool will create a database of market criteria that can be sorted based on the criteria each individual farmer identifies as important to their own personal decision making. Thus, farmers can find you and select your market as most appropriate for their needs.

To help us prepare the proposal, we are asking a few questions that will help us to determine the value of such a tool and help to define criteria that would be important to farmers in determining the markets that they should participate in.
